Sinterklaas walzermedley
De sint is in het land, en dat moet natuurlijk worden gevierd. Daar ik meestal met het kerklied bezig ben, veel studie maak naar de muziek van Bach, Mozart, Beethoven en Bruckner, is het soms heerlijk ontspannend om es eens wat anders op het orgel te doen. In mijn studie heb ik niet alleen de grootmeesters bestudeerd die componeerden in het zogenoemde "ernstige" genre maar ook meesters zoals Johann Strauss Junior. Ik ben nog altijd mateloos gefascineerd door het fenomeen "walz". Ik ben twee keer in Wenen geweest en ik moet zeggen dat de Weense Wals echt een Weense aangelegenheid was, zoals ook de muziek van Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Bruckner, Mahler, Schonberg en Webern. Reden genoeg om eens een walsje te proberen. Daar gisteren (14-11) de intocht van de Sint was dacht ik, ja, laten we de driekwartsmaat maar eens van stal halen met ingrediënten van Sinterklaas, een prima combinatie. Novels? Yes. The bulk can be written in less than a week with focused, inspired moments that come when you finally are able to completely disappear for a few hours from the mediocre expectations from those in your world that live the same habits, yet slightly remixed, each day.
